A new day has opened before us. Open our hearts to receive the many blessings you are actively seeking to share with us in the hours ahead—through the people and places we are privileged to encounter, the questions and challenges we face, and the myriad decisions for which we need one another. Share your mercy generously with us, today and every day; protect us from harm; and renew our expectation that your healing grace will be working among us today. As we pause and give thanks to you, for you are so good! Amen.

Help us to honor their memory not only in remembrance, but in action, through even the smallest acts of service and kindness that rebuild unity and hope. In our work in healthcare and in our daily lives, guide us to be instruments of healing, bringing comfort to those who still carry wounds seen and unseen.
