“Learning to live with ambiguity is learning to live with how life really is, full of complexities and strange surprises.” –James Hollis

Prayer

Gracious Spirit,

We do our best to plan our days and prepare for the future, yet the life you’ve given is still full of unexpected twists and turns. Some changes we welcome gladly while others leave us distraught and afraid, wrestling with ambiguity and searching for meaning. No matter what we may be dealing with today, empower us to deepen our trust, believing that you will work for our good all that comes our way. For all who are struggling even to believe in your kindness today, may they be buoyed by the gift of faith and the comfort of our practical support. Amen.

Call to Action

Instead of trying to remove ambiguity from my life today, consider how I can thrive better by learning to receive it and work with it constructively.
