Compassionate God,
You have made us for service. In and through the ministry of your son, Jesus, you have given us a model of service to follow, a model of selfless service shaped by the good of the people we serve. In a world often torn by hostility, disagreement, and division, cultivate within our hearts a desire to reflect your compassion through the lives we lead and renew our commitment to serve all we encounter with tenderness and care. Amen.
