God with us,

It is truly a gift to share work that is inherently meaningful, thanks to the many ways it improves people’s lives and shows forth your mercy. Yet even in the mundane and ordinary tasks we will find ourselves doing, help us approach these labors, too, as means of connecting with you. Let all those who are especially burdened by the demands of their job find fresh inspiration today. Amen.

Before I begin another list of tasks and chores, take a moment and invite God’s presence to accompany me through such an otherwise ordinary routine.
