Reflection

“When the last tree is cut, the last fish is caught, and the last river is polluted . . . you will realize, too late, that wealth is not in bank accounts and that you can’t eat money.” –Alanis Obomsawin

Prayer

Good Creator,

As a ministry and as people of conscience, help us remember that the greatest of treasures are not of our invention nor can they be stored in our bank accounts. Rather our highest wealth comes from the life-giving resources you have graciously provided for everyone’s flourishing. Awaken us more to the concrete opportunities we each have been given, to preserve and protect the wealth of your creation, for our own flourishing and the flourishing of future generations. Amen.
