Reflection “It’s not only God’s mercies that are new every morning.  It’s his miracles! Every day, without exception, we experience miracles big and small, visible and invisible, tangible and intangible.” - Mark Batterson Pray

Prayer

God of mercy and healing,
We give thanks that your mercies and miracles are new with each new day. Open our eyes to the countless ways your grace appears in moments of healing, kindness, strength, and quiet hope. Help us to recognize the miracles around us, both big and small, visible and unseen. May grateful hearts guide us to live with wonder, trust, and faith in your ever-present love. For this we pray. Amen.

Reflection “Empathy is simply listening, holding space, withholding judgement, emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message of you’re not alone.” – Brené Brown Prayer God of compassion, Open our hearts

Prayer

God of compassion,

Open our hearts to the gift of empathy, that we may truly see and feel the joys and struggles of our patients, bringing us closer to knowing their needs. Teach us to listen with patience, respond with compassion, and act with understanding in every encounter. Help us to move beyond judgment and assumption, embracing the shared humanity that binds us together. May our lives reflect your love through the care and sensitivity we offer to our patients, families and community members. We pray this in your name. Amen.

Giving God,

Remind us that the treasures of this life are not measured in possessions, but in the love, service, and courage we share. Help us to live with generous hearts, offering compassion, sacrifice, and faithful action to those in need. May our lives be rich in kindness and purpose, leaving a legacy that reflects your presence in the world. Guide us to give freely, so that when our time comes, we carry only the fullness of hearts transformed by love. In love, we pray. Amen.

Reflection “The important thing is not to spend our lives trying to control the environment around us. The task is to control the environment within us.” -Sister Joan Chittister, OSB Prayer Creating God, Teach us to be innovative

Prayer

Creating God,

Teach us to be innovative in cultivating peace, patience, and wisdom within our own hearts, knowing that true strength begins there. Help us release the need to control what surrounds us, trusting your Spirit to guide our steps and choices. May our inner environment reflect love, clarity, and resilience, shaping the way we respond to our patients, families and those most vulnerable. Let the calm, grounded presence you nurture within us become a source of light and hope for all we encounter. We ask this in your name. Amen.
