Reflection

“Empathy is simply listening, holding space, withholding judgement, emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message of you’re not alone.” – Brené Brown

Prayer

God of compassion,

Open our hearts to the gift of empathy, that we may truly see and feel the joys and struggles of our patients, bringing us closer to knowing their needs. Teach us to listen with patience, respond with compassion, and act with understanding in every encounter. Help us to move beyond judgment and assumption, embracing the shared humanity that binds us together. May our lives reflect your love through the care and sensitivity we offer to our patients, families and community members. We pray this in your name. Amen.
