Prayer
God of all,
Differences among people shape our human family. Help us to see diversity not as something to overcome, but as a source of strength, wisdom, and richness. Teach us to honor every person’s story and to welcome perspectives that broaden our understanding of each other. May our unity of differences reflect your love, building communities where all are valued, uplifted, and embraced. Amen.
Spring Equinox
Prayer
God of new beginnings,
As the Spring Equinox arrives, remind us that renewal and life cannot be stopped, no matter the hardships we face. Just as the flowers return with the changing season, may hope, growth, and new beginnings always bloom in our hearts. Teach us to embrace the cycles of life with patience and gratitude, trusting in your faithful provision. Let this season of light and balance inspire us to live with joy, purpose, and a spirit open to transformation. We pray, Amen.
Eid al-Fitr
Prayer
God of mercy and joy,
As we honor the celebration of Eid al-Fitr today, we give thanks for the blessings of peace and happiness. May this season of reflection and gratitude deepen hearts, strengthen families, and renew hope. Help all of us to honor one another with respect, compassion, and shared joy in your creation. Let the spirit of this celebration inspire acts of love, generosity, and unity in the world. Amen.
Prayer
God of reality,
The complexity of today’s healthcare environment challenges us to stay ahead of the curve as we respond to the signs of the times. Yet we take comfort in knowing you journey with us and are grateful for the courage you give us to be adaptive, responsive, and innovative. For the sake of all those in need, especially those who are poor, dying, and underserved, help us each day to improve collaboration and to reach the goals that will carry your ministry forward. Amen.
St. Patrick’s Day
Prayer
God of all,
Thank you for the gift of family found not only by blood, but through shared heritage, friendship, and welcome. Remind us that wherever we go, the bonds of love and belonging can unite us in ways that feel like home. Help us to greet others with open hearts, creating communities where no one feels like a stranger. May the spirit of kinship we share reflect your love, which gathers all people into one family. In the spirit of St. Patrick, we pray. Amen.
Prayer
God of peace,
Teach us to disarm our words so that they may no longer wound, divide, or harden hearts. Fill our speech with gentleness, truth, and compassion, so that what we say becomes a source of healing and understanding. Help us remember that every conversation holds the power to build peace or deepen division. May our words reflect the love of Christ and help bring about a more peaceful world. Amen.
Fourth Sunday of Lent
Prayer
God of compassion,
Open our eyes to see each person as you see them, with dignity, tenderness, and infinite worth. When our vision is clouded by busyness or fatigue, realign our hearts with your loving gaze. Help us in our work in Catholic health care to recognize Christ present in every patient, family member, and colleague, especially those who are poor, dying and underserved. May the Light of Christ shine through our words, our actions, and the care we provide, especially in moments of vulnerability and suffering. Shape us into instruments of healing, mercy, and hope, reflecting your love in all that we do. We offer our service to you, trusting that through us, your light continues to shine in the hearts of all those we serve. In your name, we pray. Amen.
