Fourth Sunday of Lent

Fourth Sunday of Lent

Reflection

“God does not see as a mortal, who sees the appearance. The LORD looks into the heart.” |
-1 Samuel 16:7

Prayer

God of compassion,

Open our eyes to see each person as you see them, with dignity, tenderness, and infinite worth. When our vision is clouded by busyness or fatigue, realign our hearts with your loving gaze. Help us in our work in Catholic health care to recognize Christ present in every patient, family member, and colleague, especially those who are poor, dying and underserved. May the Light of Christ shine through our words, our actions, and the care we provide, especially in moments of vulnerability and suffering. Shape us into instruments of healing, mercy, and hope, reflecting your love in all that we do. We offer our service to you, trusting that through us, your light continues to shine in the hearts of all those we serve. In your name, we pray. Amen.

Call to Action

Allow my participation in Lent to continue empowering me, as I extend the compassionate ministry of Jesus to others, especially people who are poor and vulnerable.
