Prayer

Faithful God,

You revealed the depth of your love for us by taking on human life, human flesh, in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. Fill us with your courage, that we might follow your example, giving of ourselves with our whole heart. Keep us grounded through faith in you, even in the midst of obstacles and barriers and our own limitations. May the example of your son Jesus inspire us to do everything we do with our whole heart, fulfilling the promise of each moment with love and care. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Saint Patrick’s Day

Saint Patrick’s Day

Prayer
God of presence,

You sent your Son, Jesus, to remind us that you are always near, surrounding us with your steadfast love, just as you never left his side. Inspired by St. Patrick, who carried this truth to all he served, help us to share your comfort and grace with everyone we encounter today. May our words and actions create a ripple of love that reaches far beyond us, drawing others closer to you and deepening their faith. With hearts full of gratitude and hope, we pray. Amen.

Second Sunday of Lent

Prayer
Lord of comfort,

So often, our patients come to us burdened by fear, uncertain of what lies ahead. Yet through compassion and care, we have the opportunity to be a beacon of light, easing their anxiety and offering hope. Just as your steadfast love calms our fears and reminds us of your constant presence, guide us to extend that same reassurance to all we encounter. May we bring your love to life, especially for those who are poor, dying, or underserved, so they feel your peace through our actions. With faith in your unfailing guidance, we pray. Amen.

Prayer
God of understanding,

So often we fall into the habit of judging others by outward appearances or misunderstood actions, yet your focus is always deeper and truer, and for that, we are profoundly grateful. Your love reaches beyond what is seen, looking directly into our hearts and cherishing the good that resides within. Teach us to follow your example, to see as you see, love as you love, and serve as you serve. In doing so, may we reflect your divine compassion and grow closer to becoming who you created us to be. Amen.

Reflection “Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us.” ~ Wilma Rudolph Prayer Great and ever-living God,

Prayer

Great and ever-living God,

Within each of us, you have planted the desire to do great things for others. Foster within our minds the discipline to cultivate that desire. Enkindle within our hearts the love and compassion that fuels that desire. Guide us by your wisdom, that we may dedicate ourselves each day to sacrifice on behalf of the good of those whom we serve. And may we always believe that you call us to greatness, greatness in service. Amen.

Prayer

God of boundless love,

You bless us each day with the opportunity to do the greatest thing of which we are capable, to do good for someone. Doing good can change someone’s life, someone’s day, even someone’s minute or hour. Cultivate within us a heart committed to doing good that we might spend our times positively influencing the lives of those we encounter. Fill us with your love that we might share that love with others. With dedication to do good, we pray. Amen.

Reflection “Dedication is not what others expect of you, it is what you can give to others.” ~ Henry Miller Prayer Merciful God, Your son Jesus proclaimed that he had come not to be served but to serve. In your goodness and wisdom

Prayer

Merciful God,

Your son Jesus proclaimed that he had come not to be served but to serve. In your goodness and wisdom, you have brought each of us together in Bon Secours Mercy Health to serve the needs of our patients, our communities, and our colleagues and team members. Fill our hearts with generous love, that we might display the strongest spirit in health care, dedicated not to be served but to serve and to give our lives for the good of others. May our lives of dedicated service reflect your love for all people. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
