Gracious God,

We are proud this week to recognize the dedicated infection preventionists serving within our facilities and clinics and out in our communities. Empower them to continue their good work, promoting best practices and encouraging vaccination while developing new standards to help prevent the spread of diseases among us. May we honor their efforts by remaining ever mindful of our own responsibilities and committing to our shared duty, to do what we can to keep patients and communities safe and free of infection. As people on mission to bring good help, we pray. Amen.

What a gift it is, to be able to bless those around us through our words and deeds, helping them grow in ways that provide blessing for us in return! Inspire us to be agents of blessing today. With sincere and generous spirits, help us recognize and name out loud the talents and treasures the people around us bring into our lives and the wider world. May we praise you by praising them, acknowledging the many ways they make a difference in the ministry we share and beyond. As we praise you above all, source of all blessing, Amen.

Your word to us is a life-giving gift, a roadmap for thriving in a world so often riddled with chaos, suffering, and challenge. Give us the fortitude to stand firm in your word while inviting others around us to do the same, aligning ourselves more and more with the vision you have for the way we should live and treat one another. For the sake of the communities and neighbors we have the privilege of serving, help us observe your word faithfully. Amen.

We come together today, joining our Jewish brothers and sisters in reflecting on our lives and how we can improve them. On this sacred day of Yom Kippur, a time of prayer and repentance, we ask for Your blessings and seek forgiveness for anything we have done that was not in accordance with Your will. Together in prayer, may this day bring peace, renewal, and fulfillment to all. Amen.

We ask you to bless those who struggle with mental health challenges. Their battles are often terrifying and difficult to bear. When patients come to us with these struggles, grant us the wisdom to guide them toward the help they need, and the compassion to raise awareness and support them on their journey. May our acts of love bring comfort, letting them know they are not alone, and that we walk beside them on the path to healing. For this, we pray. Amen.

Throughout our day, we encounter Your image reflected in every person we see, hear, or even think of, yet so often we miss the chance to recognize Your presence. You dwell within all people, calling us to love each person as we love You. Help us to pause, take notice, and realize that each person in our lives is one of Your beloved children, and through them, You reside among us. With grateful hearts, we pray. Amen.

All life is precious in Your eyes, and we are called to honor and respect every aspect of it. From conception to natural death, we recognize the sacredness of each person You have created. Guide us in providing the utmost care to all who come through our doors, especially those who are poor and vulnerable. We ask this in reverence for all human life. Amen.
