Loving God,

The gift of a listening ear is a profound blessing in our lives. Help us to share such a gift with each other today, and especially with those we encounter and strive to serve in ways that are authentic, engaging, and full of heartfelt concern. May we listen with love to those who are particularly desperate for someone, anyone, simply to hear their story and acknowledge their voice. As we extend your compassionate ministry together, we pray. Amen.
