Feast of Mary Magdalene

Feast of Mary Magdalene

Reflection

“Tell us, Mary, what did you see on the way? I saw the glory of the risen Christ, I saw his empty tomb.” –from the Victimae Paschali Laudes

Prayer

Living God,

On this Feast of Mary Magdalene, we are inspired by her joy at being the first witness to your son’s resurrection—a joy which overflowed and fueled her to run and share the good news with others. Help each one of us live more fully into that same joy today, sharing good news in our words and deeds so that more of your abundant life may find its way into our world, our communities, and our homes. We pray especially for patients and families longing for healing and wholeness. Send us as agents of life-giving hope, peace, and comfort, just as much as high-quality, effective care and concern. Amen.
