Reflection

“[T]he test of a civilization is in the way that it cares for its helpless members.” –Pearl S. Buck

Prayer

God our help,

While we remain truly grateful for the many gifts of science and technology, remind us that real social progress is measured by the way all of your people, especially the most vulnerable, are valued and cared for in ways that reflect your goodness and provision. May we always express our commitment to that vision and serve the common good, particularly in the way we give special attention to the most helpless among us, prioritizing their needs and serving them with devotion, excellence, and compassion. Amen.

Call to Action

I may not be able to fix the many problems across my community, but I can recommit today to care for those I encounter who need more help. Do so.
