In our work, help us to see each patient, family member, and co-worker as an opportunity to reflect your healing presence. Teach us to lead with empathy, to listen with patience, and to serve with humble hearts. May our actions each day be of value to those entrusted to our care. We ask this with confidence of your love. Amen.

We pause in your presence and recommit as a ministry to keep our eyes fixed on your mission on the move, and to follow your Spirit’s leading as best we know how. Let us foster a ministry culture that welcomes innovative solutions to the challenges we face, where associates know they’ll be supported for trying new things—even if every plan may not work out as intended. Grace us with faith undaunted by risk, and the trust that believes you are always inviting us to do something new, in partnership with you. Amen.

Sometimes we encounter people who just seem intent on bringing everyone down, through their negative attitude. Help us respond to these children of yours with grace and long-suffering, remembering that at the end of the day we are still one family before you. Show us how to challenge our brothers and sisters in creative and encouraging ways, helping them revive a more authentic, positive attitude that can be just as contagious, but far more constructive, within the culture we share together. Amen.

On this World Day of Prayer for Creation, we are grieved by the way warfare and violence not only threaten the lives of the innocent but also the vitality of your wider creation—the natural world upon which we all depend. Let a renewed vision of peace fall upon us today, along with a renewed sense of direction as we strive to steward your creation in ways that bring flourishing. May we become bolder in pursuing collective actions that can secure the well-being of our common home, in service to the common good. Amen.
