God of Peace,

As people of conscience, we are grieved to think of brothers and sisters made in your image just like us, right now suffering from violence and injustice of extraordinary magnitude. Empower us as a global ministry to continue advocating for all who are victimized and vulnerable, in the ways that we can. May our ardent desire to see peace in your world lead us to implement practical solutions to the injustices we see, both near and far. For the sake of a future worthy of the dignity you have bestowed on us all, without qualification, we pray. Amen.

As we extend your ministry today, we anticipate engaging many different needs among many different sisters and brothers across our community. We are privileged to serve your children with joy and gladness! Humbly we ask for your empowering spirit to keep us joyful. Let our laughter be a sign of your spirit at work among us, bringing respite and healing in its own way. Amen.

Today we remember many of the faithful witnesses before us, who shared your good news and embodied your love despite facing misunderstanding, hostility, and even the threat of death. On this Memorial of the Irish Martyrs, we are inspired by the faith of those who shared in the ultimacy of your sacrifice, and we recommit to praying for the day when your world will be transformed and death is no more. Until that day comes, help us embody our own faith with the same degree of commitment and love, pursuing the cause of justice, peace, and the common good. Amen.
