God of love,

When divisions and tensions threaten to fracture our sense of community, we beg you to intervene in the hearts of our leaders. Here and around the globe, reveal yourself powerfully to those who govern. For their own good as much as the good of their people, humble them to seek your wisdom and to surround themselves with advisors who are committed to putting the common good and the pursuit of unity above private interests and arrogant shows of pride. Amen.

God of strength,
On this Wear Red Day, we lift up hearts, our own and those we care for, asking for your protection, strength, and healing. Guide us to nurture our bodies with wisdom, to make choices that honor the gift of life, and to support those facing heart challenges. May your Spirit fill us with courage, hope, and resilience, reminding us that every heartbeat is a sign of your sustaining love. Let our care and attention reflect your presence, bringing health, comfort, and life to all we serve. Amen.

Teach us to put love into action each day in all that we do for our patients, families and communities.  May our hands bring healing, our words bring comfort, and our presence bring peace to those in need. Help us to see everyone as a reflection of your love, deserving of dignity, respect, and care. Let every act, large or small, be a channel of your grace, spreading hope and compassion in the lives we touch. We ask this in your name. Amen.

On this World Cancer Day, we lift up all who face illness, especially cancer, asking you to fill them with hope that does not fade. Strengthen the hearts of our patients, families, and caregivers, and guide the hands and minds of our doctors and nurses who bring healing. May your Spirit inspire courage in the midst of struggle and remind us that even in the darkest times, hope can bloom. For those who suffer, we pray for their comfort. Amen.

Teach us to serve you with hearts that are humble, faithful, and open to your guidance. May every action we take reflect your love, and bring healing, comfort, and hope to those around us. Help us to see service not as obligation, but as a joyful expression of gratitude for the gifts you have given. May your Spirit guide us to confront inequality, lift the marginalized, and pour compassion into every corner of our communities. Help us to shape a world where dignity, hope, and opportunity reach all people. Inspire us to be instruments of change, reflecting your love in courage, action, and solidarity. We give thanks for the life of St. Brigid of Kildare, whose heart overflowed with piety, generosity and action. May her example inspire us to do all that we can to care for the vulnerable and those who are poor and hungry, helping to bring light to places shadowed by need. Help us, like her, to weave communities of kindness, faith, and justice, where all are welcomed and cherished. Let her spirit guide our hands and hearts in service to others, reflecting your love in every act. Amen.
