Prayer

God of boundless love,

You bless us each day with the opportunity to do the greatest thing of which we are capable, to do good for someone. Doing good can change someone’s life, someone’s day, even someone’s minute or hour. Cultivate within us a heart committed to doing good that we might spend our times positively influencing the lives of those we encounter. Fill us with your love that we might share that love with others. With dedication to do good, we pray. Amen.

Prayer

Merciful God,

Your son Jesus proclaimed that he had come not to be served but to serve. In your goodness and wisdom, you have brought each of us together in Bon Secours Mercy Health to serve the needs of our patients, our communities, and our colleagues and team members. Fill our hearts with generous love, that we might display the strongest spirit in health care, dedicated not to be served but to serve and to give our lives for the good of others. May our lives of dedicated service reflect your love for all people. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Prayer

God of vision,

You call each of us to lead lives of meaning and purpose, reflecting your goodness, compassion, and love in the lives of others. In the midst of change and struggle, help us always to remain grounded in you. Plant within us the wisdom to be a community that champions the quest for meaning and value we all share. And in that pursuit, may we stay dedicated to our fundamental principles and values while being flexible in the path necessary to achieve and embody them. With confidence in your promises, we pray. Amen.

Prayer

Source of life and growth,

Like seeds planted deep within the earth, you have created us to grow and develop. As persons committed to serving others, especially the poor, the dying, and the underserved, strengthen us in our efforts to create a culture that supports the personal and professional growth and development of all associates. Open our eyes to see your presence in one another and open our hearts to support what is best for each other. May all those dedicated to your healing ministry find in our community a place where they can truly thrive. In your name, we pray. Amen.

First Sunday in Lent

Prayer

God who hears us,

Many of your children will cry out to you today, in pain and suffering, illness or disease, or otherwise amidst challenging conditions and struggling to attain their needs. We know that you have called, equipped, and sent us to serve them in your name, and we commit to do so faithfully. Nevertheless we invite you to empower us more by your very spirit, better to hear them, as you hear them, and to respond to them in effective ways, thereby reflecting your mighty liberation and salvation for us all. Amen.

Prayer
God of unity,

You created us to love and serve one another, building a world where all can flourish through shared purpose and care. In our moments of independence, remind us that our actions ripple outward, affecting those around us. Teach us to embrace the strength of community, recognizing the blessings of working together for the common good. May we gratefully accept help when offered and eagerly extend our hands to those in need. Through this mutual support, may we draw closer to you, reflecting your abundant love in all we do. In this spirit of togetherness, we pray. Amen.

Prayer

God of compassion,

You have created us from love, implanting within each of us the call to serve our sisters, our brothers, and even the created world we inhabit. Cultivate within us a desire to respond to your call, committed to making a difference in the lives of others. May the mission we share as associates of Bon Secours Mercy Health fill us with a sense of meaning and purpose, reflecting your love and compassion for others and our world. Amen.
