God of true progress,

We have good reason to be thankful for the comforts afforded by technological development. Yet we have also seen the way technologies can aggravate existing inequalities while creating new conflicts, depending on how such tools are designed, programmed, and distributed across our society. Help us as a ministry to remain champions of genuine technological progress, insisting that all the gifts of human ingenuity should be used to advance the common good and to improve the quality of life for all people. Amen.

As Black History Month continues, we take time to remember, celebrate, and honor the fundamental contributions of black Americans to our culture and nation. As a ministry, we are committed to embodying a spirit of solidarity and we take responsibility for growing in wisdom, learning to manifest more of your goodness by celebrating the uniqueness of all people and respecting the dignity of our creation before you. With gratitude for so many black Americans who have shown us the way, Amen.

God of the new,

In your holy word we are told that your power working in us can do far beyond anything we can ask or imagine. May it be so today! Give us courage to trust you with more room in our hearts and our lives, that you might fill us with your empowering spirit to partner with you even more effectively, reaching more lives with your healing compassion. Stretch our imaginations to welcome new opportunities to impact our communities with health and well-being. Amen.

God of all blessing,

As we celebrate Lunar New Year with friends and family and coworkers, we ask that your great blessings would fall on us this year in abundance. Make us trustworthy stewards of your many gifts, eager to share all that we have with those who are waiting for good help and assistance. As a ministry, confer on us the benefits of being your servants, that we might better extend your healing refreshment to patients and families and communities in need, especially those who are the most vulnerable among us. Amen.

Loving God,

In the ministry of your son we see your great love for humanity expressed in so many concrete deeds. Your healing works among us continue to inspire our mission today, as we advance the art of medicine and strive to be health and well-being to our patients and communities. In those times when we are not able to heal, help us nonetheless to express your love for the suffering by the way we continue to accompany them with care and compassion. Inspired by your love we pray, Amen.

God of  Freedom,
On this World Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking, let us pray for all those caught in bondage. Guide us in seeking new ways to help those in need, and to always be mindful of advocating for their freedom.  Through different forms of training, help us to be more aware of those in danger and respond to their need for help. Amen.

God of Stillness,

Sometimes our lives go by in a blur: at work, at home, and all in between. The next meeting, the pick-ups and drop-offs, the errands and chores and duties that demand our attention. In the midst of it all, we know that time spent in stillness and mindfulness is never wasted.  Help us throughout our days to be able to take a couple of minutes simply to be still, to listen, and only then to move forward by your love and energy.  Amen.
