Reflection

“Have a heart that never hardens, a temper that never tires, a touch that never hurts.”
- Charles Dickens

Prayer

God of compassion,

Form in us hearts that never harden amid the demands of our daily work with patients, tempers that never tire when our own patience is tested, and touches that never hurt but help to heal those who are suffering. In every encounter, let our words, actions, and presence reflect your gentle love, bringing comfort and hope to those entrusted to our care, especially those who are poor, dying and underserved.  We ask this in your name. Amen.

Call to Action

Throughout my day, be mindful about how I treat others, my patients, family members and co-workers. Remember that comfort begins with a loving heart.
