Domestic Violence Awareness Month continues
Reflection
“Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife and discord. This is why the law is numb and justice never comes, For the wicked surround the just; this is why justice comes forth perverted.” –Habakkuk 1:3-4
Prayer
Righteous God,
As Domestic Violence Awareness Month continues, we come before you with hearts grieved by the violence that tears at the very fabric of our society, harming the bonds of the family. Help us, as a ministry united, to turn our lament into effective and constructive actions, guided by your Spirit. May we not only be attentive to the signs of domestic violence in our workplaces and communities, but may we also have the wisdom and the fortitude to respond in ways that can better fulfill your vision of justice, restore relationships, and establish peace. With hearts of compassion, we pray. Amen.
Call to Action
Keep my eyes open for those who may need help to escape a dangerous situation. No matter what, remember my call to advocate for peace and justice in the ways I can.
