Memorial of the Irish Martyrs
Reflection
“It is not the punishment but the cause that makes the martyr.” ~Saint Augustine
Prayer
God of courage and faith,
Today we honor the steadfast witness of the Irish men and women who gave their lives in the 16th and 17th centuries out of deep devotion to you. Their unwavering faith in the face of persecution inspires us to live with boldness and love as your children. Strengthen our hearts to follow their example—walking in truth, standing firm in faith, and trusting that you walk beside us always. May their legacy light our path as we strive to live lives fully committed to you. We ask this in your holy name. Amen.
