Empowering God,

As we acknowledge the incredible contributions of our nurses this week, we are also eager to intercede on their behalf. Empower them afresh each day, to meet the many obstacles they face with courage and compassion, guided by your spirit. For the many sacrifices they make in order to bring good help and advance our mission, we thank you. For the long hours and difficult shifts and sometimes difficult patients, we ask you to reward them with a greater number of tangible blessings, words of kindness and signs of gratitude, including our own support and encouragement. Filled with gratitude, we pray. Amen.

Call to Action

Take a few minutes today to recognize a nurse that I find especially inspiring, for the way they demonstrate a “can do” attitude and spread resilience in the face of challenge. Give them a shout out!
