Mother’s Day
Reflection – Proverbs 31: 25-28
“She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and laughs at the days to come.
She opens her mouth in wisdom,
kindly instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household,
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and called her blessed.”
Prayer
God of Love,
Today, we celebrate mothers of all kinds—natural, adoptive, and those who have become second mothers to us along the way. We look to Mary, your mother, as a beautiful example of the selfless and unending love a mother holds for her children—always seeking their good and guiding them with grace. Bless the mothers in our lives and fill our hearts with gratitude for their care. May we reflect that same love back to them, honoring the gift they are to us. Amen.
