Second Sunday of Advent
Reflection
“The word advent means ‘expectation.’ What advent can do for us is create a sense of hope.”
~Louie Giglio
Prayer
God of hope,
During this season of Advent, guide us to slow down and embrace a spirit of expectation—a hope for what is yet to come. Amid the hustle and bustle that can make these days rush past, help us remain present, mindful of where we are, who we are, and whose we are. In this awareness, may we see more clearly the beauty and sacredness of these Advent weeks. In hope, we pray. Amen.
Call to Action
Make a great effort to lean away from the hustle and bustle of this season and embrace a sense
of expectation.
