Prayer

God of today,

We celebrate the many ways you’ve used us effectively in the past, as individuals and as a ministry, to bless the people and places around us. Yet we begin this day knowing that your mission does not rest in the past, and there are others now waiting and longing for good help, compassionate care, and the resources they need to flourish. Encourage us for their sake, to live in the moment and treat each day as if it were a new beginning and a fresh opportunity to answer your call, becoming good neighbors once again to each other. For the sake of those most in need, we pray. Amen.
