“Comfort, give comfort to my people, says your God.” –Isaiah 40:1

Prayer

God of all comfort,

You call us to comfort your people, loving them as we love ourselves and serving them as you so selflessly served us. Enable us to do so with sensitivity and grace today, tending to those in need with your own spirit of compassion and care. Inspire us to go above and beyond the call of duty to provide for their comfort, so that all who encounter our facilities and associates and providers might be blessed by encountering your comforting presence among us. Amen.

Call to Action

I will no doubt encounter someone in need of comfort today. Be willing to extend a comforting gesture of kindness and understanding to them.
