Reflection
“The world is like a dropped pie most of the time. Don’t kill yourself trying to put it back together. Just grab a fork and eat some of it off the floor. Then carry on.” –Elizabeth Gilbert
Prayer
Gracious One,
We all know people—sometimes ourselves—who are so driven to fix all the world’s problems that they are chronically dissatisfied, unable to stop and rest and call it good for the day. For all our sake, help us find the grace of knowing our limits together. May we learn from you, who taught us the rhythm of both work and rest. So that even if it seems like the world is falling apart, we can find grace in the brokenness and joy in the struggles. Give us strength simply to do what we can and move on. Amen.
Call to Action
Be willing today to admit my own limits. Fix what I can, seek help as I need, and let the rest go.
