World Mental Health Day

Reflection

“A loving silence often has far more power to heal and to connect than the most well-intentioned words.” –Rachel Naomi Remen

Prayer

Compassionate God,

As a ministry of healing, we desire to become more effective in identifying and responding to the mental health needs of those we serve, and also of those with whom we serve, our associates and colleagues. Help us on this World Mental Health Day, to renew our commitment to listen lovingly to each person we encounter, that we might serve them well in body, mind, and spirit. Amen.

Call to Action

In recognition of World Mental Health Day, renew my commitment to listen for the signs that someone is in need of support. Be willing to reach out to that person. Or if that person is me, be willing to seek help.
