Reflection

“…the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” ~ Matthew 1:20-21

Prayer

Loving Lord,

Today, we celebrate the birth of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Open our hearts that our lives might reflect the faith of Mary. Her willingness to do your will changed her life and transformed the life of the world. May we, too, cultivate a faith that does your will, that we too might contribute to the building a better world for all. We make this prayer through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
