Reflection

“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view – until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”
~ Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird

Prayer

Almighty and eternal God,

We live in a time of division and partisan rancor. Yet, as St. Paul wrote, we are all one. Help us to be open to the perceptions and experiences of others that we might strengthen the bonds of our common humanity, even among those with whom we disagree. May our willingness to see the world through the eyes of another help us to understand one another more deeply and unite us as a human family. Amen.
