Native American Gathering of Nations

Native American Gathering of Nations

Reflection

“When you know who you are; when your mission is clear and you burn with the inner fire of unbreakable will; no cold can touch your heart; no deluge can dampen your purpose. You know that you are alive. ~ Chief Seattle

Prayer

Apache Prayer:

May the sun bring you new energy by day. May the moon softly restore you by night. May the rain wash away your worries. May the breeze blow strength into your being. May you walk gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life.”

Call to Action

Native Americans today face some extraordinary challenges. By nearly every measure, social, cultural, economic, physical, and spiritual, Native American communities and Native American families are uniquely and negatively impacted by patterns of struggle. What one action can I take today, or one commitment can I make, that will support Native American peoples in the struggles they face, strengthen bonds of friendship, and establish justice for all Native American nations and people.
