Second Sunday of Lent

Second Sunday of Lent

Reflection

“After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John and led them up a high mountain apart by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became dazzling white, such as no fuller on earth could bleach them.” ~ Mark 9:2-3

Prayer

God of glory, as we continue our celebration of the season of Lent, we ask you to open our hearts and minds to the transformative power of your love. As Jesus was transfigured before his disciples on the mountain, stir within us the gift of your Holy Spirit that we too might be transfigured. May who we are and what we do better reflect your love and the possibility of new life. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Call to Action

Take time today to reflect how I am celebrating the season of Lent. In what ways does God want to transfigure who I am and what I do?
