Fourth Sunday of Advent
Reflection
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God.” ~ John 1:22-23
Prayer
Powerful God, as we conclude our celebration of the sacred season of Advent, encourage us to reflect upon the many ways in which you come to us. You came in a stable 2,000 years ago, you come today through the believing community, and you come to us in each other. Help us to grow ever closer to you that you might come to others through us. With gratitude for your coming, we pray. Amen.
Call to Action
What one action can I take or one commitment can I make that will help others experience God’s love through me?
