Foundation Day Celebration

Bon Secours Day | January 24, 2024

200 Year Anniversary!

This day marks the birth of the religious community known as the Sisters of Bon Secours. On January 24, 1824, twelve young women gathered in the Church of Saint Sulpice in Paris, France in the presence of Archbishop de Quelen, the Archbishop of Paris, to commit themselves to serving people who were poor, sick, and dying in their homes. For those associates able to gather to pray and celebrate, we hope you have a wonderful celebration and experience of community. For those associates who are unable to gather together, we have created a virtual prayer experience to help you commemorate this special day. Happy Bon Secours Day!

Anniversary Hymn

In honor of the Sisters' 200th anniversary, we are also happy to provide a new musical setting to Mary Louise Bringle's hymn, “O God, You Call Us Through the Years," originally written to celebrate another anniversary in the Sisters' life and ministry.
