Humility of Mary Day

Humility of Mary Day

Prayer

God over all,

You call us to share in Jesus’ mission of bringing abundant life to your people, especially to those who are poor and vulnerable. Give us courage to proclaim the liberating message of the Gospel not only with our words, but through the witness of our daily lives. Shape our actions so they reflect compassion, justice, and hope for all we encounter. May our service, like that of the Sisters of the Humility of Mary, become a living sign of Christ’s presence, renewing hearts and restoring dignity with whomever we serve.  Amen.

Prayer

Loving God,

Thank you for creating each of us as a unique reflection of your boundless love and wisdom. When we feel small or uncertain, remind us of the vast strength, beauty, and purpose you have placed within us. Help us to cherish ourselves as your beloved creation, to persevere through discouragement, and to offer our gifts to the world with courage. May we live fully as the one-of-a-kind person you created us to be, trusting that we carry your grace wherever we go. In your name, we pray. Amen.

Prayer

God of peace,

We thank you for the gift of peace you offer freely to all, bringing new life to weary hearts. Pour this peace into our lives as reconciliation where there is division, forgiveness where there is hurt, and healing where there is pain. Grant us the courage to turn the page, to release what binds us, and to begin again with hope. May your peace dwell within us and flow through us, renewing our world with grace. Amen.

Prayer

God of compassion,

You teach us that true love for you is revealed in how we treat our neighbors. In following the example of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, help us to be patient and diligent when serving those in need. Shape our hearts so that our words, choices, and actions bring no harm, but instead foster kindness, respect, and compassion. Help us to see you in every person and to love others as an expression of our love for you. May our lives become a witness to compassion that protects, uplifts, and heals, and may our patients draw closer to you in response to this witness. Amen.

Prayer

God of new beginnings,

Thank you for the gift of each new sunrise, bringing light, hope, and the chance to begin again. Help us to embrace each day as an opportunity for renewal, growth, and faithful living. May we use the hours ahead to love generously, serve others with compassion, and live in harmony with those with whom we work and those we live with each day. Let the promise of each morning inspire us to walk in hope, courage, and gratitude. In the light of your love, we pray. Amen.

God of abundance,

Teach us to sow generously with our time, our love, and our gifts, trusting in your providence. Help us to give freely, without fear or hesitation, knowing that bountiful giving bears abundant fruit. Open our hearts to acts of kindness, service, and compassion, that what we plant may flourish for the good of others and the glory of your name. Prayer

God of transformation,

Guide us in opening our minds to your wisdom, that we may embrace new ways of thinking rooted in love, patience, and agility. Help us allow these insights to shape the way we live, so that our actions reflect the transformation you desire in us. Teach us that innovation begins within, and that by changing our hearts and minds, we become instruments of your grace. May each step toward understanding bring us closer to the people you call us to be. We pray. Amen.
