Prayer

Faithful God,

Inspired by the witness of St. Oliver Plunkett, strengthen us to love you with steadfast and courageous hearts. In the demands of our work each day, help us remain faithful in both quiet routines and difficult moments, trusting that our service is an offering of love to you. When fear, fatigue, or uncertainty arise, remind us that your grace sustains those who remain true to your call. May our fidelity shine as hope for those we serve, reflecting a love that endures through every trial. Amen.

Prayer

Loving God,

Prepare our hearts to receive the peace, grace, and quiet abundance you long to give. In the ministry of healthcare, help us release anxiety and control so we may be fully present to those who need our calm, steady compassion. When answers are slow and burdens feel heavy, teach us to trust that your healing presence is already at work within and around us. With open and grateful hearts, may we become vessels of your peace, offering comfort, hope, and gentle strength to all we serve. In love, we pray. Amen.

Prayer

Glorious God,

Open our eyes to receive each day not with assumption, but with deep gratitude. In the sacred work of caring for others, keep us mindful that every patient, every colleague, and every moment is a gift entrusted to our care. When routine dulls our awareness or fatigue tempts us to take life for granted, renew in us a thankful heart. May our gratitude overflow into compassionate service, honoring the dignity and preciousness of every life we encounter. In gratitude, we pray. Amen.

Prayer

Compassionate God,

Help us remember that even the smallest kindness can touch places no medicine can reach. In our work with patients and families, guide our hands and hearts to offer gentle words, focused presence, and merciful understanding to those who suffer. When we feel rushed or weary, slow us down enough to see the hidden wounds carried by those in our care. May every gesture we extend become a channel of your healing compassion, restoring hope where pain has taken root. In your name, we pray. Amen.

Prayer

Gracious God,

Like the wisdom shared by Oscar Wilde, teach us to serve not only out of duty but from the quiet joy you plant within us. In the work of healthcare, help us to bloom where we are placed, offering compassion and tenderness as gifts freely given. When the days are heavy and our spirits weary, remind us that each act of care is a living blossom of your love in the world. May our presence bring comfort and healing, simply because your joy is alive within us. Amen.

Prayer

God of Peace,

As people of conscience, we are grieved to think of brothers and sisters made in your image just like us, right now suffering from violence and injustice of extraordinary magnitude. Empower us as a global ministry to continue advocating for all who are victimized and vulnerable, in the ways that we can. May our ardent desire to see peace in your world lead us to implement practical solutions to the injustices we see, both near and far. For the sake of a future worthy of the dignity you have bestowed on us all, without qualification, we pray. Amen.

Prayer

Gracious God,

As we extend your ministry today, we anticipate engaging many different needs among many different sisters and brothers across our community. We are privileged to serve your children with joy and gladness! Humbly we ask for your empowering spirit to keep us joyful. Let our laughter be a sign of your spirit at work among us, bringing respite and healing in its own way. Amen.
