World Health Day

Prayer

Loving God,

Help us to honor the gift of our own health, knowing it allows us to love and serve others more fully. Teach us to care for our bodies, minds, and spirits with wisdom, balance, and gratitude. May tending to our own well-being become an act of love for our families and a blessing to the world. Guide us to live in ways that nurture wholeness, so we may offer our best selves in service to others. Amen.

Prayer

God of life and healing,

We give thanks for the gift of public health care, which safeguards the well-being of communities and protects the most vulnerable among us. Bless our Catholic health care, rooted in the Gospel call to serve, to uphold human dignity, promote justice, and care for the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. Guide those who lead, teach, and labor in this work with wisdom, compassion, and courage. May our commitment to the common good be a living witness to Christ’s healing love in the world. We ask this for all those we serve. Amen.

Teach us to act with justice, compassion, and humility in the ways we receive and protect one another, especially with our patients, families and the communities that we serve. May our lives reflect your command to love without borders, serving all God’s children. Amen.
