Holy Spirit of God,

On this Pentecost, we thank you for the gift of your Spirit, which empowered the disciples to share your love and serve others. Guide us as we continue their mission, bringing hope and healing to those in need, especially the poor, dying, and underserved. Fill our hearts each day so that we may extend compassion to our patients, families, and communities. May your presence strengthen our work and deepen our love for those we serve. For this, we pray. Amen.

So often in life, we find ourselves wishing to be someone else, thinking they are stronger, more beautiful, or more gifted than we are. Yet when we pause and reflect on the blessings you have given us, we begin to see the beauty within our own lives. Guide us to cherish the gifts you have planted in each of us and to resist the urge to compare ourselves to others. Together, we create a world rich in uniqueness and wonder. Amen.

Today we celebrate St. Jarlath, the Irish saint and scholar, known for his wisdom and learning, devotion to prayer, and generosity towards others. We ask for a share in such gifts, so that we might be agents of the same faith, hope, and love in places of need and for those who are vulnerable. Dwell with us, enlighten our journey, and be our constant accompaniment—as we strive to extend your compassionate ministry, especially for those who are poor, dying, and underserved. Amen.

You have given us the precious gift of Mother Earth—to cherish, to share, and to call our home. Yet too often we fall short in caring for her as we should, and our neglect brings harm that future generations may bear. Help us to be faithful stewards of this sacred trust, tending to the earth with love and responsibility, so that all may continue to enjoy its beauty and bounty. When they are weary, let your promises renew their strength. Help them to walk the path towards good health, trusting that you are there each step of the way. But you do not call us to comparison; you call us to authenticity—to be the true selves you lovingly created. This month, we lift up in prayer all those who struggle with PTSD. For many, the weight of their pain can feel unending, with no clear light on the horizon. Yet through your grace, each of us can become a light—a steady presence guiding others, one step at a time, toward hope, peace, and brighter days. As you so faithfully guide us each day, help us to offer that same care to those in need. We ask this in your precious name. Amen.
