Strengthening God,

Since the very beginning of your mission among us, adversities and obstacles have seemed to be part of the program! As we face our own hardships extending your ministry today, help us resist the temptation to lose steam. Motivate us to be agile in response to challenges, and may we be fully present to one another as much as our patients and families—encouraging, exhorting, and strengthening the spirits beside us, so we can all bring our best and live out your mission. May we persevere in faith, hope, and love, we pray. Amen.

Almighty God,

On this Armed Forces Day, we thank you for the gift of those who have accepted the call to serve our nation in the armed forces. We thank you for the women and men who generously give of themselves in the effort to maintain our country’s freedom and encourage it to flourish and prosper. Bless all those who serve and their families and friends whose untiring efforts make their service possible. May we who enjoy the blessings of freedom always be grateful to those who help to preserve it. We pray in God’s name. Amen.

We are creatures of habit, often hesitant to step into the unknown, even when the familiar grows difficult. Yet, St. Brendan, the Voyager, set sail into uncharted waters, trusting you with each wave, discovering new lands, and bringing hope to his people. Inspire us with his courage. Help us to face the uncertainties before us with faith, seeking new ways to share your love and serve those in need. May we journey forward, fearless and guided by your steady hand. For this, we pray. Amen.

So many in our world hunger today—hunger for food, for health, for safety, and for spiritual nourishment. We often lift these needs to you in prayer, hoping they will be fulfilled. Yet, through our call to serve others with the compassionate ministry of Jesus, we come to see that we are often the answer to those prayers. You invite us to be your hands, helping to satisfy the hunger of those in need. Strengthen our hearts to always be willing to serve, to reach out, and to love as Jesus loves. Through his name, we pray. Amen.

Each day, we are called to be reflections of your love and presence to those we encounter. How we live, how we serve, and how we treat others speaks to the life you have entrusted to us. Let our actions, and when needed, our words, be vessels of your love and peace. May those we meet see in us a glimpse of you—the true source of all peace. In your holy name, we pray. Amen.

Within these walls, caregivers become beacons of hope, walking alongside those who struggle with illness. We celebrate the work done each day—seen and unseen—by the dedicated hands and hearts that serve. Bless these places of healing and those who labor within them, that they may continue to bring your hope and wholeness to all. Amen.

These men and women answer the call each day, bringing healing, comfort, and hope to those in need. Their tireless care helps restore health and wholeness to the lives of the sick. We honor their work today and ask that you bless them with strength, patience, and the knowledge that their service is a true reflection of your love. With hearts full of gratitude, we pray. Amen.
