Healing God,
You know the importance of doctors in our world today, for there are countless illnesses and conditions that bring suffering to your people. We come before you with hearts full of gratitude for the knowledge, compassion, and skills you have bestowed upon these caregivers, who work tirelessly to bring healing and hope. We ask for your blessings upon all doctors, that they may find strength and wisdom in the challenging work they do. Guide their hands and hearts as they care for those in need, especially the poor, vulnerable, and underserved. Amen.

God of Justice,
In a world longing for fairness and integrity, we yearn to see justice and righteousness guide our shared lives. Yet, when the path strays and injustice prevails, we turn to you, asking for your mercy to restore what is broken and to lead us all back to what is right. Open our eyes to the importance of a just and compassionate society, where every person is treated with dignity and respect as the beloved creation you have called them to be. Help us to walk humbly and act justly in your name. Uniquely yours, we pray. Amen.

God of all good things,

Time and again throughout history we encounter the lesson that we can accomplish far more together than we can ever achieve apart. Through the ministry of your son, Jesus, the sisters of our founding congregations, and people of good will in every age, inspire us to believe that together we can accomplish great things for others. Each day, may we commit to the service of others that we might enable each other and those who come to us for care to realize their dreams for health, well-being, and a life of meaning and purpose. In thanksgiving, we pray. Amen.

God, source of our mission,

You call each of us to use our gifts and talents in the service of a cause larger than us. Open our hearts that we might be courageous enough to go where you send us. May we discover in and through our service a mission worthy of our greatest efforts and our most sincere dedication. Stir within each of us the desire to do good together, that by being good help to those in need, we might be a beacon of light for people experiencing darkness. We pray in the name of Jesus, the light of the world. Amen.

Lord of all,

You bless each of us with gifts and talents given for the good of all. Unite us in the service of your people through providing quality care to all people, especially the sick, the dying, and the underserved. You have called each of us from all walks of life, from all backgrounds, races, and ethnicities, with unique gifts and talents, each fueled by a desire to serve the needs of others. You have called us together to pursue the good work of extending the compassionate ministry of Jesus your Son. Accept our gratitude for the abundance of the gifts you have shared with us and stir within us the desire to use those gifts in service of the legacy of service with which we have been entrusted. We pray in your name. Amen.

God of new life,

You took on human flesh, entering into the depths of human life, through the yes of a young Jewish girl. Inspired by the example of Mary of Nazareth, may we too might say yes to your plan for us. Give us the courage necessary to make of ourselves the instrument through which you enter into the lives of the people we serve and those with whom we serve. May we also allow it to be done to us according to your word, that we might continue to extend the compassionate ministry of Jesus, your Son. In his name, we pray. Amen.

Through your creative power and love, you call us to embark on a journey throughout life. Fill our journey with joy, even in the midst of the shadows, that we might continue to move forward, trusting in your presence and love. Stir within us the belief that we are moving forward to a better future, accepting that our best days are ahead of us. May we strive each day to fulfill the promise you implant within us, that we might make the future better for everyone, especially for the people we serve. Amen.
