Prayer

Light of the world,

It's true we have many responsibilities that demand our attention. Yet it’s also easy for us to exaggerate our sense of self-importance, such that we become frantic in our days, believing it’s all up to us, to do it all and be everything to everyone, lest the world fall apart. Guide us back to humility. Gently remind us of the simple truth of our calling before you. That you have called us to shine the light that we have into the world, remaining rooted in you and who you made us to be. Help us to do so, faithfully today. For our patients and families, and our wider communities, we pray. Amen.

Call to Action

Have I grown frantic trying to be something I’m not? Take time to consider if it’s time to step back from some activity or responsibility that really should not be on my list of priorities.
