Reflection
“Worrying is using your imagination to create something you don’t want.” –Esther Hicks
Prayer
God of peace,
You instruct us not to worry or be anxious about anything. Yet that is so much easier said than done! Our imaginations are prone to dwell more on things we wish to avoid. Help us through such weakness, so we can instead build our thoughts on hope, endurance, and trust in you. We are especially mindful today of all those who worry about sickness and disease, for themselves or for others. Use us to build them up, too, that our collective imagination might extend more of your compassionate care to the rest of the world around us. Amen.
Call to Action
When the temptations of worry come upon me today, be deliberate about turning my imagination to something constructive.
