“As a shepherd examines his flock while he himself is among his scattered sheep, so will I examine my sheep. I will deliver them from every place where they were scattered on the day of dark clouds. I will lead them out from among the peoples and gather them from the lands; I will bring them back to their own country and pasture them upon the mountains of Israel.” –Ezekiel 34:11-13

Good Shepherd,

On this Feast of St. Oliver Plunkett, we are inspired to remember and hold on to your promise to unify and restore us as one human family. Beyond every division and the many ways we’ve been scattered, lead us to a future in which we can appreciate our interdependence more and more, and can commit to securing the cause of peace. In your name, we pray. Amen.
