Prayer

Gracious God,

A dimension of the greatest commandment is to love God with all our mind. We thank you today for the gift of our minds and for the opportunity to use our reason to pursue truth and justice. Stir within us an appreciation of this gift you freely bestow upon us and inspire us to use it to strengthen the bonds of community. May the good and proper use of our minds sustain us in right relations with each other and help us to recognize your presence in us all. We make this prayer in your name. Amen.
